A few days ago OnePlus’ CEO teased the company’s upcoming smartphone – presumably the OnePlus 5 on Twitter.
While it has been widely believed the phone will be launched this summer, so far we had no confirmation that this will be indeed the case. Well in a recent news piece, The Verge writes it has received confirmation by OnePlus itself that its next flagship with arrive this summer.
The name OnePlus 5 has not been 100% confirmed yet, but we tend to believe this will be indeed the case, given that in China the number 4 has some unlucky superstition attached to it.
Over the months, the OnePlus 5 has been tipped to arrive with either FHD or QHD resolution and Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 835. The phone will most likely bundle 6GB of RAM and a dual-camera setup.
For the time being, we advise you to take this info with a grain of salt, as rumours are subject to change.
OnePlus’ current flagship, the OnePlus 3T has enjoyed great sales. Its latest Midnight Black version has been sold-out almost in every market, which shows how much people love OnePlus smartphones.
The OnePlus 5 is probably the most anticipated flagship expected to launch in the immediate future.
