OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T Are Now Getting Google Assistant
Do you have a OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T? If you do, you might want to check your phone. According to a tweet from the Chinese company’s official account, the Google Assistant just landed on the two smartphones.
The Google Assistant has been making its way on Canadian users’ phones since early March, but now owners of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T can also take advantage of Google’s AI-driven assistant.
Yay, the Google Assistant is now available on the #OnePlus3 and 3T. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve asked your assistant? pic.twitter.com/IT4DiHNdPK

A few months ago, the Google Assistant was limited to the Pixel and Pixel XL, but users could also have access to it via the search giant’s Allo messaging app. That changed soon after, when Google announced it will start rolling out the assistant for all Android devices with Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Android 7.0 Nougat onboard.
The Google Assistant has also made it onto wearables. For example, the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style take advantage of it. What’s more the Assistant is also offered on budget phones like the Motorola Moto G5 and Nokia’s new set of affordable phones.
With more and more virtual assistants becoming available (remember Bixby is going to make a debut on the Galaxy S8), Google is trying to keep the attention on the Google Assistant. And so far, we’d say it has managed to, don’t you agree?
