Nexus 7 News Roundup – Update
There was a bunch of Nexus 7 news this past week and I figured I’d sum it all up for you all.
1. Magnetic Covers?
So it seems as though the Nexus 7 has integrated some magnets into the device that wake the device. Pardon my IPad reference, but it seems that it will be IPad-ish. Check out the video below
2. Nexus 7 Now Available at Some London Drugs
Over on MobileSyrup, there are reports that some have been able to go to their local London Drugs to pick up the latest tablet, the Nexus 7. The 16GB version is in stock at some locations and is selling for price of $259.99. The same price as the Google Play Store without the $25 Credit. However if you’re lucky, you won’t have to wait. I’m still on the fence on this device. The lack of expandable memory is a downer.
3. Nexus 7 Selling Well In The US of A
Our friends down south seem to have been graced with several Nexus 7′s at retail locations. From what I’ve read around the web, every place that had them sold out quickly. Good to see this device being so well received by the public. I feel the IPad really has it’s hands full with this one. Let’s hope no judge falls for any Apple “patents” that will undoubtedly come.
4. Nexus 7 Receives OTA
The Nexus 7 has already received at OTA. It’s a very small update (about 1MB) and from all the blogs I’ve read, nobody seems quite sure what was updated. Some say it’s smoother others are just completely at a loss. Any of you receive it?
