Nintendo Reportedly Working On An Educational Android Tablet
Well here’s a very very interesting story. According to a series of tweets sent out by Nando Monterazo, a software engineer at Nintendo of America, one of the most iconic gaming companies of all time may be working on an Android tablet. Okay, maybe an Android tablet isn’t the best way to describe it as it doesn’t seem like it’ll provide the full fledged Android ecosystem but it’s a tablet that will be based on Android.
Right away you’re probably assuming it will be some sort of gaming device, and to some degree you’d be right. However, according to the tweets this device (if it ever comes to market) will be more of an educational device than a entertainment device. The goal, it seems, is to load the tablet up with educational games that will feature everyone’s favourite Nintendo characters in a fun and exciting learning environment. So in away it’ll still be an entertainment device, but an educational entertainment device.
While this definitely wouldn’t be the first education focused tablet to hit the market, it would automatically become the coolest for the simple fact that Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the gang would be teaching you.
It doesn’t appear that anything is confirmed at this point but we’ll be sure to keep you posted. And be sure to check out all the tweets below.
