OnePlus Officially Announces OxygenOS, Releasing Next Month
OnePlus has finally revealed more info on its new OnePlus One-exclusive ROM, OxygenOS.
Just to clear some things up, I’ll simply point out that this new Android-based OS will not be open source, unlike CyanogenMod or Paranoid Android. The company has picked up several Paranoid Android developers to work on the project, and states that it won’t be like anything seen before. They state that they will focus on maximizing battery life, system efficiency, and try to eliminate as much bloatware as possible.
In an AMA done on /r/Android, it was said that it will be available for users to flash next month, and not as an OTA from CyanogenMod.
