NVIDIA Shield Tablet To Get Lollipop This Month!

More Lollipop news for you guys!  NVIDIA has just posted a new video on their  YouTube channel today showcasing Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Shield Tablet.  In the video, the rep not only shows the powerful slate running Google’s latest OS but also notes that the update will roll out sometime this month!

Much like Motorola, the lack of any major UI changes or skins undoubtedly gives NVIDIA an advantage in pushing the update in such a timely manner.  Also like Motorola, the unique NVIDIA features are implemented through exclusive apps rather than being integrated directly into the software.  I would love to see more and more manufacturers go this route but I don’t know that that will ever happen…but I digress.

I’ve been contemplating picking up the Shield Tablet for some time now so if they’re able to keep up this type of pace with their updates I may just have to buy in!
