NVIDIA Shield Tablet To Get Lollipop November 18

Even though Lollipop was quite a large update with a lot of new changes, this is probably the quickest I’ve seen manufacturers get a large update out to their devices after the official launch.  Motorola already has updates out and about, LG has allegedly began its roll out in some parts of the world and Samsung looks like they’re nearly there as well.  Well here’s another manufacturer to add to the list, NVIDIA.

NVIDIA announced that they will begin the roll out of Android 5.0 Lollipop to their Shield Tablet on November 18!  Like Motorola, NVIDIA has left their version of Android pretty stock and bring their added features in the form of apps.  In addition to the new OS, NVIDIA will be bringing an updated version of their Dabbler app with the update.  For those who have/purchase the 32GB LTE edition of the Shield, you get even more goodies!  Their “Green Box” bundle will also include Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2 and Portal, all optimized for the Shield Tablet!

NVIDIA is sure doing a good job of making me want this tablet more and more!
