Good news for those of you wielding a One X, One X+, One S, or Butterfly (which isn’t likely for anyone here in Canada).  According to an answer posted on Facebook, HTC’s former flagship devices will be getting a taste of Sense 5 in the coming months.  That means that you’ll be able to experience for yourself the new paired down simplified, yet still stunning, version of Sense that will debut on the HTC One.

HTC HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. Also, note that some features enabled by the new HTC One hardware will not be available in the software updates.

As usual, “months” could mean anything at this point but they did say “the next few months” so hopefully sometime within the first half of 2024.  However, after HTC releases the update it will again have to go through the regular carrier testing which can take a little while as well.  Nevertheless, it’s still positive news that HTC is completely abandoning its 2024 line up!
