BBM For Android Delayed

Many have been eagerly awaiting BBM for Android (and iOS).  According to Blackberry, the app should have launched yesterday for Android and today for iOS.  Well here we are still waiting for BBM to make its way onto the Google Play Store.  Blackberry has posted on their Facebook page that they are “working hard” to get the real BBM for Android onto the market, but we’re still waiting.  iOS users have been able to grab the app as of this morning which is a bit of a bummer.

If you are one of the many eagerly awaiting the official BBM app, sit tight and be careful of what you download as there are a lot of fake BBM apps kicking around on the Play Store.  The official app should be released under Blackberry Limited so look for that under the developer name.  There are also some APKs floating around from the leak but I’d also be wary when using those.
