Google Chrome For Android Updated

Chrome for Android has been updated with new gestures to navigate the UI which were already available in the Beta version of the app. While it isn’t a major update, the new gestures will allow you to quickly switch tabs by flicking horizontally across the top input bar as opposed to swiping edge to edge.

Also you can now enter the tabs screen by swiping down from the top input bar, instead of the simple icon. The icon is still there, and this change is by no means a drastic one, and it won’t affect productivity that much.

However, missing is the ability to close all tabs, but the one open, which some people will certainly miss. Below you can see the full changelog for this update.

  • Swipe horizontally across the top toolbar to quickly switch tabs.
  • Drag vertically down from the toolbar to enter into the tab switcher view.
  • Drag down from the menu to open the menu and select the item you want without having to lift your finger.

The update is rolling out over the next few days, so go to your my apps tab to find fi you can already download the update.
