Google Chrome For Android Updated
The latest version of Chrome for Android incorporates new gesture controls for navigating the user interface, which were previously available in the beta version of the application. Although not a significant alteration, the new gestures permit expedient tab navigation by a horizontal swipe across the top input bar, as opposed to a swipe from edge to edge.
Additionally, the tabs screen can now be accessed by swiping down from the top input bar, as opposed to using the icon. The icon remains in place, and this alteration is not a significant one. It is unlikely to have a considerable impact on productivity.
However, the ability to close all tabs except the one currently in use is not available. This may be a feature that some users will find useful. The complete list of changes included in this update can be found below.
- Swipe horizontally across the top toolbar to quickly switch tabs.
- Drag vertically down from the toolbar to enter into the tab switcher view.
- Drag down from the menu to open the menu and select the item you want without having to lift your finger.
The update is rolling out over the next few days, so go to your my apps tab to find fi you can already download the update.
