The Kindle offer
Buying a new phone on a 3-year contract, with talk, text and data, earned a free 3G Paperwhite Kindle. The device retailed for just under $200, so it was a useful extra. The offer applied to select plans and ran until May 30.
The contest
A Rogers representative told the site about a contest that ran until April 15. The prize was a 3G Paperwhite Kindle and an Xperia ZL, which the author joked was not as shiny as a new Xperia Z. Entry meant leaving a comment on the RedBoard or FiRouge site, as the representative described it.
