The New Moto X Pure Is The Moto X You Want, But Can’t Get
We all know Motorola held their first launch event in many months yesterday to announce their new Moto G and Moto X line up.
Among those that were announced, there’s one that really is the true spiritual successor to the Moto X (2024) and it’s called the Moto X Pure Edition (known as the Moto X Style in other markets). This phone is running the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC from the LG G4, with 3GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal storage with microSD expansion and a 3000 mAh battery. It’s also sports a 5.7-inch QHD IPS LCD display. Sounds good right?
But there’s a catch as the phone, confirmed by Motorola Canada, will not be coming to Canada and it will be available in the US unlocked to work on all carriers. Motorola really worked hard on this phone’s camera capabilities, which is why it sports a new 21MP camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor that comes with phase detection auto focus; thus producing better shots overall (theoretically). The front camera is a 5MP wide angle lens.
The price of the phone is $399 making it a great deal and probably the closest competitor to the OnePlus 2 in terms of the price to performance ratio.
