Samsung School, Samsung’s digital classroom solution is from now on commercially available due to successful Canadian pilots in schools in both BC and Alberta. According to Samsung its educational program has proven itself as a reliable digital classroom solution.

The program consists of a one-to-one integrated education solution, composed of Samsung’s latest Galaxy Note 10.1 and display technology to create an interactive learning environment.

Samsung School provides one Galaxy Note 10.1 per student and teacher, packed with Samsung’s learning management and interactive teaching software. It allows teachers to handle course administration and content management, providing for a better class management. Regarding classroom tools, teachers can easily share their screen, perform instant quizzes with instant statistic results, group collaboration, track student progress and lesson plans as well as offering dynamic content. Not to forget are the all important tools to handle the more insubordinate, giving teachers the ability to monitor student’s tablets as well as locking their screens.

Students can also take advantage of the Note’s S Pen to take notes or do handwritten calculus for example. In addition to the tablets, schools can also acquire 55 or 65-inch digital e-Boards, wireless printer and notebook PC, all integrated into one wireless network allowing for sharing between devices. Older e-Boards can be added to the network using an AllShare Cast dongle.

According to faculty members of pilot schools, the program as created a more interactive and alive classroom that will hopefully lead to better results and school atmosphere. I for one look forward to see the impact of Samsung, with the help of Android, on the future of education. Leave your thoughts on the comment section below.
