Samsung Now Has a Product Quality Control Office

Samsung has learned a lot from the Galaxy Note7 disaster. The company has implemented more rigorous testing protocols for its products but it’s not stopping there.

According to a report coming out of Asia today, the Korean giant has created a new product quality control office in order to make sure a Galaxy Note7-like scenario never happens again.

The new team will be led by the Kim Jong-ho – a manufacturing expert who has been with Samsung ever since 1983.

A few months ago, Samsung’s official investigation into the Note7 affair concluded that the batteries where to blame for the phablet’s overheating tendencies. Now, Samsung wants to make absolutely sure its future products won’t pose a safety hazard to its customers.

In the meantime Samsung is preparing for a grand event – on March 29 the Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 flagship. For the first time, the company will unveil not one curved display phone but two.

The device is expected to come packing a host of premium features like a QHD display with bezel-less design, a Snapdragon 835, iris scanner and a virtual assistant in the vein of Siri and Alexa.

The handset will hopefully salvage Samsung’s sinking reputation as a mobile phone brand.
