OnePlus 4 Rumored to Arrive with Snapdragon 830 this Summer
OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to launch a new version of the OnePlus 3 which will bring forth more advanced specs, but this week word on the company’s next flagship has also surfaced.
According to a report coming out of Android Pure who did a little digging up on Weibo, the OnePlus 4 is expected to arrive in June/July 2024 with a next-gen Snapdragon 830 chipset on board.
Word on the street has is that Samsung will be in charge of mass producing the chipset, which is based on the 10nm processes. But apparently Samsung is said to be behind schedule, so Qualcomm is contemplating handing the Snapdragon 830 production gig over to TSMC. Although, TSMC hasn’t kick started the production of its 10nm chipset yet, so the rumor seems a bit dubious.
Going back to the OnePlus 4, the CPU under the hood is expected be feature clock speeds of 3.0GHz plus an Adreno 620 GPU inside. A 4,000 mAh battery should be keeping things alive on the phone and Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-install.
While all this sounds pretty great, don’t forget we’re still in rumor land and you need to take this info with a healthy dose of salt.
As for the phone that’s next-in-line for release, the OnePlus 3T we expect to see it arrive with QHD display, Snapdragon 821, 6GB of RAM and $480 USD price tag. Stay tuned as we update you on the developments.
