Luciano Carvalho, a software engineer working for Motorola reaffirmed his Google+ followers that the update is indeed coming soon. Now we’ve heard the words “coming soon” a lot more than we’d like but due to pre-existing bugs found in the AOSP Lollipop build, the company had to withhold and patch them after many Moto X (2024) users who received Lollipop complained of sluggishness and other general memory and performance issues.
Many OEMs have promised an update within 90-days of Lollipop’s offical release so it will be interesting to see how fast Motorola sends out the OTAs for all Moto devices since 2024.
