After the launch of the Moto 360 smartwatch in the US this month, many have mixed opinions on whether or not this $250 smartwatch is actually worth having. Multiple reviews suggest it has sub-par battery life compared to the G Watch per say, and the black bar at the bottom can become quite annoying. However, Motorola is possibly deciding to take another route to capture new customers.
Motorola sent out an email to some about the Moto 360 and it included the watch displaying several different watch faces. What was interesting about this was that Moto decided to show off a press render of a Gold Moto 360. Unfortunately, after Android Police contacted PR, the gold watch was quickly removed which leads me to believe that there are in fact plans to release a gold or more colours of the Moto 360 later this year.
The Canadian release of the watch is set for Q4 of this year so it may just include the gold version by default.
