According to Reuters, Microsoft is looking to take a dive into the ever-growing and profitable market of smartphone gaming. Reports say Microsoft is looking to port both PC and Xbox games to smartphones, bringing several very well-known franchises like “Age of Empires” to a smartphone near you.
I recon it’s not a small project to make some huge games available in smartphones, and so does Microsoft. In order to ease the pressure on home workers, Microsoft went shopping and made a licensing deal with KLab Games, a smartphone game developer, which will handle all the work of bringing those games to Android and iOS.
The first big launch expected is a free-to-play worldwide smartphone version of Microsoft’s legendary franchise “Age of Empires”, that will be available before the end of the fiscal year 2024.
It’s amazing to see how smartphone evolution has reached such a level that makes possible to bring versions of our favorite PC and Xbox titles to our pocket. After the launch of “Age of Empires” more titles are expected to launch so keep tuned for more news on this and feel free to leave your thoughts on the comment section below.
