Huawei’s sub-brand unveiled the affordable Honor 6X at CES 2024 and now the company is tempting users with another budget-friendly device. Meet the new Huawei P8 Lite (2024) which despite its name looks a lot like one of the Honor smartphones we’ve seen lately.
Thee phone will launch on a few European markets at first for approximately $333 CAD, but it will probably make its way across the pond at some point.
Here’s what the Huawei P8 Lite (2024) is all about. The device features 5.2-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution and a Kirin 655 chipset (4 x 2.1GHz Cortex-A53 cores plus 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 cores) – the same one powering the Honor 6X.
The new P8 Lite (2024) features 3GB of RAM onboard plus 16GB of expandable storage. Fans of smartphone photography we’ll be glad to know the phone bundles a 12MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture plus an 8MP selfie snapper.
Keeping things alive on board is a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery. Last but not least the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, unlike the Honor 6X which arrived with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It’s interesting to note that Huawei is expected to unveil the all new P10 and P10 Lite in February. So the question is, will customers care for the P8 Lite (2024) at all?
