HTC One Mini Specs Leak: 4.3-inch Screen, Snapdragon 400 CPU

Following the trend set by the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 mini, HTC is launching a smaller version of its flagship device, the HTC One. While there’s been lots of rumours surrounding the name and spec sheet of this device a new leak from a Taiwanese website owned by HTC seems to give us some strong evidence of what to expect.

As confirmed by the leak, the device will be named HTC One Mini, similarly to its Samsung competitor. However, on the hardware side the HTC One Mini is a step above the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini as the leak also confirms a 720p 4.3-inch screen on the One mini as opposed to the S4 mini’s qHD screen.

Also expected on the HTC One mini is a Snapdragon 400 CPU powering Android Jelly Bean 4.2 out of the box. Other features like the UltraPixel camera and BoomSound dual speakers are expected. Nonetheless, the downgraded internals are sure to help bring the price tag down on the HTC One mini.

No word yet on availability for the Canadian territory, but as the trend is set for bigger devices it’s very pleasing to see high quality devices on the 4.3-inch range making it out there. What do you think? Is a smaller device like the HTC One Mini your cup of tea? Or will you stick with the trend?
