HTC Officially Reveals The 5-Inch, 440ppi Butterfly S
After several months of rumors the new HTC Butterfly S is officially here and it’s sure to catch your eye.
The Butterfly S is HTC One’s bigger brother featuring a bigger 5-inch LCD3 while sporting the same 1080p (440ppi) resolution as the One.
HTC’s newest behemoth packs the same 2GB of RAM as the One, but on the CPU side you will find a faster Snapdragon 600 CPU clocked at 1.9Ghz. On the storage side you will find 16GB of internal storage complimented with micro-SD support of up to 64GB. The Butterfly S features the same Ultrapixel camera, 2.1MP wide-angle front camera and, much loved, BoomSound dual speakers that are on the HTC One.
On the software side you get Sense 5, with all the well-known features such as Zoe, BlinkFeed and Video Highlights. You won’t find the same aluminum finish as on the HTC One, but the Butterfly S will be available with red, white and grey back plate so there’s a colour for everyone.
To wrap things up you’ve got the usual connectivity options, as well as support for Miracast and an infrared remote control, with a fairly big 3,200 mAh battery powering the device.
The device is expected to release in Taiwan coming July for NT$ 22,900 ($790 CAD) with no word on release dates for this side of the Pacific. Is the Butterfly S an Android device you’d want to own?
