After the absence of a new 2nd-generation Nexus 10 last fall, many have began to speculate whether or not Google will penetrate the 10-inch tablet market anymore. The Nexus 10 really didn’t sell as well as other Nexus devices, such as the Nexus 7 and Google might have realized that the 10-inch tablet market is an Apple-Samsung duopoly so it’s could be better to step out of it?
According to CNET, they have received an email from a respectable source and the device is reportedly going to be a low-volume, high-performance tablet with production expected to start in either July or August. Previous reports have been saying HTC might actually be the manufacturer this time, instead of ASUS.
It’s also expected that the tablet will be around $299 running a newer KitKat build known as Android 4.5 as it’s still quite early for major Android release like 5.0. However, it’s not known if this’ll be an official Nexus device or another Google Play Edition device like the LG G Pad pictured above.
