Google Play Movies Updates, Fixes Crashing Issues
Google has been hard at work the last couple of weeks, giving all their essential apps a complete overhal and name change. Now identifying themselves as Google Play, they have been tweaking the apps as the weeks go on.
Google Play Movies app for Android has been updated with a compatibility fixes for some Honeycomb tablets. Today’s update fixes an issue which could cause the app to crash on certain devices, including Sony’s Tablet S and Archos’ 80 G9 tablets. So if you’ve been having issues, check the Google Play Store for this update.
Keep in mind that nearly all rooted devices are denied access to Google Play Movies, but there are the odd lucky few who are able to squeak by. Alternatively there are some modified versions of Google Play Movies that have the root check removed from that app, but you’ll have to search Google for those.
