Google Family Groups Brings Easy Sharing in Photos, Calendar and Keep to Canada

Google wants to help you be more connected to your family. So it has unveiled Family Groups – a feature which allows for easy sharing between family members across Google services including YouTube TV, Photos, Calendar and Keep.

In Google Photos, users will now notice a new “family group” option which shows up when you’re trying to send video/images so that family photos can be accessed from there by the entire family crew.

With Google Calendar, you can make sure you’ll never forget attending a family dinner. As for Keep, family members can use the service to share notes between them.

Setting up a family page is easy, you just need to visit Google’s family page and from there add up to six household members.

Google also mentioned family groups can get their own Cloud DVR for $47 CAD a month in the US allowing users to stream from popular cable networks such as ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.

Anyway, the good news is that Google is not limiting the availability of the Family Group feature to the US. Actually the search giant is rolling out the new feature in Canada as we speak.

So far you were able to share digital content including Android apps, TV shows, movies and books from the Play Store to up to 5 household members.
