Google.com “Near Me Now” Now Available for Android

Looks like the Google Mobile team is at it again. This time around they’ve come up with a new feature called “Near Me Now” that will take advantage of your location when you enable it via Google.com. Once it’s enabled, you can then easily find places near you, such as restaurants, coffee shops, shops, etc. You can even go “Explore Right Here” to make things interesting.

“Near me now” is currently available in the US for iPhone (OS 3.x) or Android-powered devices with version 2.0.1 or later. You must first enable location in order for “Near me now” to appear, and “Explore right here” works only if the phone provides location accuracy within approximately a city block.

This is a pretty cool feature that will make finding places around you a lot easier on your Android phone!
