The Galaxy Note 5 Is Now Getting A Galaxy Note7 Specific Feature
Bummed out that the Galaxy Note7 is no longer among the living? Don’t be, if you have an older Galaxy Note 5 laying around the house, it’s time you get it out.
Samsung is currently rolling out an updated for the year old phablet which will bring the defunct phone’s Grace UX onboard. The company’s current premium devices, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge aren’t yet taking advantage of the new feature, but they will probably be added with the Android 7.0 Nougat update
Anyway, the update is currently hitting Korea Telecom-bound Galaxy Note 5 units in South Korea, but will soon spread out to the rest of the world. If you are in Canada and can’t see the update, don’t fret, it might take a few weeks before the new build makes it out to the rest of the world.
The new build comes as firmware version KKU2CPl1 and is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. No word of when Android 7.0 Nougat will arrive on the older device.
So if you’re feeling nostalgic about the Galaxy Note7 and want something to remind you of it, take out your older Galaxy Note 5 and wait for the update.
