It’s finally here! At least for one carrier. Bell has launched the Android tablet for the holiday season this year, the Samsung Galaxy Tab. You’re looking at paying $649 with no-contract but you can save $50 by signing up for a “Tablet Flex” plan. Here’s the plan breakdown:
- $20/month = 500MB data
Exceed 500MB and you pay $35 that month and get to use 5GB of data
- Optional: $10/month “Tablet TV” add-on = 10 hours of select content
Exceed 10 hours and you pay $1 extra/hour
I feel Samsung is left a bit on their own this year to tackle the Android tablet market without Google’s support. They certainly haven’t done a bad job but is it enough to compete with the Apple iPad for Christmas? What do you think?
