ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom Launches with Huge 5,000 mAh Battery
CES might not be the most exciting when it comes to phones, but ASUS came to the event armed with a new device that smartphone photography lovers will be ecstatic about. Say hello to the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom.
The phone is a successor of the ZenFone Zoom, but interestingly enough it tones down the zoom capabilities. Compared to the predecessor, the ZoneFone 3 Zoom features 2.3X magnification capacities, down from 3X.
The magnification effect is produced on one of the two lenses of the dual-camera setup. The other lens is of 12MP variety with f/1.7 aperture. The pair of lenses work in concert to produce the very popular Bokeh effect.
The ZenFone 3 Zoom takes advantage of and that is 4K video recording – something the ZenFone Zoom didn’t have. On top of that, the phone features a larger 5,000 mAh battery which should ensure the device has a long life cycle.
When it comes to specs, the Zenfone 3 Zoom comes equipped a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920-pixel resolution and Snapdragon 625 under the bonnet. There’s no word yet on RAM and internal storage option. ASUS said these details will be announced at a later date.
The company boasted the ZenFone 3 Zoom is the thinnest 5.5-inch smartphone featuring a 7.9mm full metal body, which is indeed pretty sleek.
The ZoneFone 3 Zoom will be available for purchase sometime in February.
