Asus makes good on GPS fix for Transformer Prime (with a GPS Dongle)
Dongle… such a funny word.
By now you’ve heard about (or if you’ve got a Tranformer Prime, you know) the poor GPS on the TF201 tablet. Apparently it has something to do with the Aluminium casing. But that’s out for the judges. What also is out now is a ‘fix’ for purchasers for the GPS woes… an external GPS unit, otherwise known as a ‘dongle’ for your tablet.
What’s weird is it looks like an attached unit, vs. a wireless one. That would have been ultra handy. Something you could magnetically attach to the back… but then it’d need it’s own power source etc…
