It’s now well into the month of June and Google has updated their Android Distribution numbers accordingly. These numbers are updated at the start of every month for developers to look at so they can generalize what version of Android their potential install base is running and act upon it.
With the data collection ending today, we can see that Android 4.4 KitKat has jumped up by a significant increase of 5% to hold a total of 13.6% in marketshare, while Android Jelly Bean dropped to 58.4% in total.
Android Honeycomb has now disappeared from the chart since its marketshare dropped below 0.1% while Gingerbread is slowly but surely dying a slow death as it now sits at 14.9%, a 1.3% drop from last month .
