Android 5.1 Lollipop Now Rolling Out To Nexus Users, Factory Images Also Released

Android5_1
After months and months of rumours and unofficial changelogs, Android 5.1 has finally been released to the public.

The update brings quite a few things to the table, including a brand new device protection service that allows the user to keep the phone tied to a Google account even after it gets wiped. More changes include support for HD-Voice (AMR-WB), Dual SIM and the previously reported built in WiFi and Bluetooth dropdown toggle in quick settings. Furthermore, the fix for the memory leak issue and old apps showing up in recents menu is also included.

It’s unclear whether or not the update will roll out to Android Wear devices.

Google has also posted factory images for some Nexus devices, including the Nexus 5, 7 and 10. More images will be posted soon.
