[UPDATE: Turns out that it’s not working… weird it installed and everything – you just can’t download anything – even the free apps. Back to the land of no-love.]
Okay, a while back I had written about my woes with the Amazon app scenario.
Well, yesterday Amazon announced that the “App Store” (am I allowed to officially call it that? Is the war on that over?) is now available beyond the US.
I’ve downloaded it and put in my credentials [my official ones, not the fake ones we used to try to use with a US address, just so we can get the free apps]. Haven’t seen much difference quite yet. Still a little perturbed that I have to keep the app on if I want to use the apps I get through it [if you uninstall the Amazon app, the other apps go with it].
Anybody using it quite yet? You like it? What advantages do you find over it vs. using the Android Market [besides a paid app for free daily]?
Oh, and here’s my shameless plug for more space!
