We have seen Fido make some major changes in the past year to more distinguish itself as a budget-friendly carrier. Fido took the lead before Christmas offering a $57 $56 all-inclusive plan with 1GB 2GB of data, marking an end of the carrier’s treatment of voicemail and caller display as extra add-on features. It should be noted that this plan was a Christmas promotion, and as such, it now only includes 1GB of data and the price has increased to $60 a month.
It would appear that due to consumer demand, Fido has decided to adjust all of its other offerings to include these two rather essential features. As such, all plans now include Canada-wide calling, mini-voicemail (maximum three messages), and caller ID. As part of these adjustments, the company has decided to postpone unlimited evenings and weekends from 5PM to 6PM.
You should also be aware that activation fees will be waived on new sign ups, plus new 2-year Fido agreements on the standard plans above will have 50% off the first 6 months for new sign-ups until March 18th, 2024.
