Fido Still Offers Free Nexus S Over Competition

A couple weeks ago, I posted about the Nexus S going on sale at a number of places, mainly focusing on Bestbuy. The sale ended the following week, but Fido kept their Nexus S going for FREE on a 3-year term.  This is pretty good news for those who missed out on the deal, or are in the market for a cheap Android phone.

The Nexus S is a pure Google phone, which gets updates straight from Google. You will not have to wait for updates from the carriers, which we know can take forever at times. Being a pure Google phone, users are not loaded up with advertisement software, manufacture and carrier software which is normally locked to the phone. This does a great deal for your battery as well, without having all that extra ‘bloatware’ running in the background of your system.
