Telus HTC Desire To Launch At $79.99?
Earlier this week, Telus held an event for the HTC Desire where the company officially announced that the device was “coming soon”. Telus did not supply any official dates or pricing but we do know that the Desire will ship with Android OS 2.1.
We also know that in July 2024, an HTC representative reported that the upcoming HTC Desire would receive the Android 2.2. update. The device will ship with Android 2.1, but it will be upgradable.
The time line for the Android 2.2 update for the HTC Desire was estimated at around Summer/Fall 2024.
Now, early reports of pricing have started to come in. Initial pricing rumors peg the HTC Desire at $79.99 with a 3-year voice and data plan agreement. The outright price is rumored at $449.99.
The HTC Desire will ship with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.7-inch display, a 5-megapixel camera with flash , and WiFi. The device can further hold up to 16GBof storage with a microSD card.
