6-inch Alcatel OneTouch Scribe Pro Leaks

Alcatel has been on the mobile business for ages, and has recently concentrated in producing mid-range and budget phones, with some tries in the high-end market. However, it seems they’re looking to introduce a top-notch phablet to compete with major Android OEM’s.

A Russian Blogger, Eldar Murtazin, has managed to take a shot of an Alcatel Official presentation showing the Alcatel OneTouch Scribe Pro and its specs. The device will feature a 6.0-inch display, but the resolution is still unknown, and will be powered by an equally unspecified quad-core 1.5GHz processor. The Scribe Pro will also sport a 13MP camera and a big 3,400 mAh battery to power that massive screen. The phablet will have dual-SIM support and a stylus, though we don’t know if it has any special features. Also interesting is a bundled flip cover which seems to have a hidden LED screen that could possibly show notifications without the need to expose the display.

Murtazin says the Alcatel OneTouch Scribe Pro is to be released in Hong Kong this month and will cost $300, which is very affordable for a 6-inch device. If this is to be true, then let’s hope the device will be launched in other markets, has was the case with other Alcatel smartphones.

On the picture we can slightly see another device we hadn’t heard of, the OneTouch Idol mini. It’s powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and packs a modest 4.3-inch IPS display. Maybe we’ll find out more on both of these devices at the IFA expo in Berlin next month. So don’t forget to tune in to find out more when the time comes, and remember to leave your comments on the section below.
