500 Million Reasons Why Android Rules

A couple of weeks ago we were hit by a pretty incredible number regarding Android.  According to Eric Schmidt, 1.3 million Android devices were being activated each day. That number was quite astounding.  1.3 million devices each day!

Well, here’s another number for you to try and ponder.  According to Hugo Barro there have been 500 million Android devices activated to date.  I’ll say that again, there have been 500 million Android devices activated.  That’s half a billion Android devices.

The current population of the world is about 7 billion.  That means there is 1 Android device per 14 people.  Those are some pretty astounding numbers.  Just think of what that number will be at next year!
