Sony Reportedly Working On a 6″ Xperia

Sony is no stranger to massive phones as their Xperia Z Ultra still ranks as one of the largest phones ever made with a massive 6.4″ display.  Although such a phone is over the top for most people, I for one was intrigued and were it not for a couple of omissions I very well may have picked one up.  Since then I’ve been eagerly awaiting a sequel hoping that Sony corrected some of the original’s flaws that held me back.

Fast forward a couple of years and my dream may finally be coming true.  A recent report was released by DigiTimes and while most of the report discussed Sony’s smartphone forecast for the upcoming year, there was very brief mention of a 6″ smartphone that is currently under development.

Yes, it may be a pretty big jump to think that this is a sequel to the Xperia Ultra but I’m hopeful nonetheless.  Plus I recall reading a while back that Sony was indeed working on a sequel that would utilize a slightly smaller screen than the original.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
