Samsung GALAXY Tab Being Revealed September 2nd (update: video preview!)
Look, we’ve talked tablets before. All the manufacturers seem to have a tablet “coming soon” or by the end of the year. One of these manufacturers is Samsung and while their Galaxy tablet has been rumoured and leaked in the past, this makes things official.
They’ve dedicated a promo site to a single teaser video highlighting some stuff about their upcoming Android tablet. The device will be revealed come september 2nd at the IFA trade show in Berlin. Here’s a quick rundown in case the text flashes by too fast for you to catch it all:
- Android 2.2
- 7-inch display
- Video calling
- Swype
- HD movie playback
- GPS navigation
- E-reader
- Augmented reality
- Flash support
That’s enough to get me excited and that video sure is dramatic. Unlike smartphones that are plagued with carrier locks and subsidy fees, we might see these in Canada sooner than later (we hope.) And if not, there’s always eBay if you’re not the patient type.
