Moto X May Offer Different Materials For Backplate
That’s right we have another rumour about the Moto X smartphone. That’s a shocker right? As rumours keep coming the supposed customization options for the Moto X keep on growing to the point of becoming almost a bit ridiculous. For that matter, take this rumour with a hefty grain of salt.
Latest rumours almost confirmed that the Moto X will have a large selection of colors for the backplate as well as the option of laser engraving it. Now, according to Android and Me founder Taylor Wimberly the backplate will be available in more than simple plastic.
Wimberly suggests that, wooden backplates will be available at launch alongside the default plastic backplates. After the launch, more options for materials should become available, so you’ll be able to pick up a Moto X with a back made of metals, ceramics and even fabrics. Additionally according to Wimberly, AT&T will have an exclusive offer regarding the device, although he doesn’t know what it is.
While having all these options in terms of customization would be an amazing “feature” it’s hard to believe in so many options and in so strange materials. It may be just me, but a silk device for example is something quite hard to believe. We’ll have to wait and see what the most hyped phone of the moment really delivers.
