Android 4.4 KitKat Rolling Out To Note 2s And S3s!
It is hereby announced that a new version of the Android operating system, designated “KitKat,” has become available for download. Information has been received from users indicating that their Galaxy S3s and Galaxy Note 2s have commenced receiving a new over-the-air (OTA) update today. The over-the-air updates result in the respective devices being upgraded to Android 4.4.2. It would appear that the update is being distributed by all carriers, although this cannot be confirmed at this time. Should you have received the update, we would be grateful if you could provide us with the relevant details in the comments section below, including your carrier.
In the event that the update has not yet been received, it is possible to attempt to locate it manually. To locate the update, navigate to the Settings menu and scroll down until you reach the About Phone section. Subsequently, select the “Update” option, which should prompt the device to commence the search for the latest software. The file is relatively large, so if one’s data allowance is limited, it is advisable to connect to a WiFi network before attempting to download it. However, in some cases, the device may automatically connect to a WiFi network, regardless of the user’s preferences.
We hope you enjoy this update.
