LG Has Sold 10 Million LTE Devices?!?
I’m sure you all know by now that I’m a numbers person and when I read this number I was pretty amazed. According to LG, they have already sold over 10 Million LTE capable devices. This is double the 5 Million that they reported just back in August of 2024. In some regard, this number isn’t really that shocking as smartphones, and especially LTE capable smartphones, are growing exponentially. So it makes sense that a company as large as LG would be pushing out devices in the millions.
The reason I was amazed by this number is because I don’t tend to see a lot of LG devices out and about, let alone LG LTE devices. And that’s coming from somebody who works as a cell phone sales rep and comes across device upon device on a daily basis. So where are these 10 million devices then? Well it seems that on its home-turf, South Korea, LG has being doing very well for themselves, even though it’s constantly up against powerhouse Samsung. Here in North America, LG hasn’t been quite as successful as Samsung but it seems as though that is starting to change. With the release of the Optimus G, and with the Optimus G Pro likely on the way, LG has placed themselves in line to be a major contender once again.
