The limitation
Multi Window was one of the best-liked features of the Note II, since it let two apps share the screen. The problem was the short list of supported apps, which was mostly limited to those that came with the phone, primarily Samsung ones. Waiting for third-party developers to add support could take a long time.
What the tweak did
With the MoDaCo method, the author had Google+ and Go SMS Pro running in Multi Window, even though neither app supported it officially. A screenshot in the original post showed both on screen.
Risks and conditions
- It requires root access.
- It is a try-at-your-own-risk change, so a backup beforehand is strongly advised.
- The author had no problems, but that is one report.
- It was confirmed on the international N7100 only. North American carrier models were untested.
