Cyanogen 9 Opens its Doors to More Devices

The people over at CyanogenMod have had issues with their servers recently, worries about not keeping up the demands with the massive amounts of downloads they are getting. Seems all that has been cleared up now, and Cyanogen is running hard once again.

They have just opened the doors to more devices using Nightly builds. These Nightly builds are releases of where the project currently is at, some maybe stable, others not so much. So flashing these Nighties is at the risk of the users themselves. I personally recommend reading the comments on each rom before downloading them, the first responders are usually pretty good about listing issues. You can normally find the comments within Rom Manager, or on their main website itself.

New Devices Now With Cyanogen 9 Nightly Builds:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – WiFi and I/O editions
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – SGH-T859 (T-Mobile)
  • Samsung Galaxy S II – International
  • ASUS Transformer – TF101
  • ASUS Transformer Prime – TF201

There will more devices added to the list later as they continue their hard work.

This of course is one of those Flash at your own risk situations, but with a little know how, I’m sure most of you will figure it out.

If you have any questions about rooting or flashing your phone, I suggest hitting up the forums over at XDA, as they have guides for nearly anything.
