Oh how excited I was when I heard this. We knew Angry Birds would come out of beta eventually but certainly didn’t expect for the game to be given out for free! Considering the extraordinary amount of money they made on the 99 cent iPhone version of the game, this is very surprising to me. One thing though, it’s ad-supported. But are you really gonna cry over that?
Angry Birds has already been available for iOS, webOS and Symbian for a while so it’s nice to see the full Android version finally come out. I think Angry Birds defines what mobile games should be like. Tons of value, easy learning curve and a lot of fun.
Now in terms of compatibility, the best I could find is this chart from GetJar that lists all the compatible phones (which I’ve linked to below). How accurate or complete this list of phones is, I don’t really know. The Beta only worked on Android 1.6+ but that might have changed in this final version.
