It really looks like Huawei wants to make a mark on the current smartphone market. This month at CES they brought forward a variety of new smartphones that not only looked great and were packed with great hardware as well. With MWC coming up Huawei has more goodies in store, one of which will likely be the rumoured Ascend P2. Here are the rumoured specs for the device:
- 4.5″ 1080p Display
- 1.8GHz Quad-Core Processor (this is one of their home brewed chips)
- 2GB RAM
- 13MP Camera
- 3000 mAh Battery
- 6.45 mm Thin
I don’t know how they’re managing to cram a 3000 mAh battery into a 6.45mm thin device but if they can do it, bravo! Overall the specs look great and the design looks great. The price will likely be right too as they are still trying to establish themselves in a crowded Android market.
The big question with all these devices is will they make it outside of Asia. Personally, I think they should bring their top two or three devices over to North America with a lower cost to try and gain some traction. As their brand grows over here, they can bring in more of their devices to the market.
Plus if they come over here, competition will grow which will mean lower prices and more innovation!
