Rumour: HTC M8 Could Come in Four Colours
Archive note. This story reflects what was known when it was first covered. Prices, availability and carrier offers are historical. For the current picture, start with the topic guides.
The rumour
The claim came from a producer and moderator at XDA TV. The follow-up to the HTC One was said to reuse the colours of the earlier phone, which means silver, black, red and blue.
What was reported
- Four colours in total.
- The same palette as the HTC One.
- No gold option, so anyone wanting that finish would need to look at other phones.
- No firm release date, though the phone was expected soon.
The Canadian angle
The author of the original post liked the blue HTC One but noted that this colour never reached Canada. The hope was that HTC would make every colour widely available this time, assuming the new phone really came in several colours.
How to treat it
This was a rumour, not an announcement. The post does not say whether the colours were confirmed, so check the official specifications for the phone you are considering. The M8 is also an old model today.
