TELUS Rolls Out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for HTC One M8 and M9
What happened
TELUS and Koodo owners of the HTC One M8 and M9 had waited on Lollipop. The carrier paused the Marshmallow rollout without explanation in December, then began seeding the update officially.
Security patch
The update included Google’s monthly security patch. The author guessed it would be the January patch, since February’s patch had not yet reached their Nexus 5. That was an estimate, not a confirmed detail.
What came next
The TELUS update schedule showed the LG G3 receiving Marshmallow on March 14.
How to check
OTA updates arrive in stages. Owners can open Settings, go to About phone, and check for software updates. Availability depends on the carrier.
Are these phones still updated?
No. The phones are long out of support, and the page is a historical record.
