More Rumoured Specs For The Note III Revealed
Trusted Samsung news site, SamMobile, has got some more details regarding Samsung’s next iteration of the original phablet, the Galaxy Note III. Here is the current list of the rumoured specs:
- Galaxy Note III
- – 5.99” SAMOLED Full HD Display
- – 13 Megapixel
- – Exynos 5 Octa Core (8 core)
- – Mali 450 (8 cores)
- – 3GB RAM
- – Android 4.2.2 – 4.3
- – Touch Wiz Nature UX 2.0
Everything lines up well with previous rumours and nothing really seems out of place so I’d say these specs seem pretty legit. The one new addition to the list is the Mali 450 GPU which features 8 cores! The combination of the Exynos 5 Octo-Core, Mali 450, and 3GB of RAM is really going to make this device a beast! Let’s just hope they up the internal storage to at least 32GB so we have enough space for all those movies and games we’ll be playing on this guy.
In terms of the size of the device, SamMobiles “insider” says it’ll be very similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 5.8 but with a smaller bezel to accommodate for the extra .2″ of screen. As you can see in the pictures below, the Mega is a good amount bigger than the Note II which, for most people, is already pushing the limit. Despite my love for large screens, I too am hoping that the footprint of the phone is closer to the Note II rather than a Mega 5.8 but that could be some wishful thinking.
As stated before, there are 3 different designs currently being mulled over. One which follows the SIV design, one that will utilize a flexible display of some sort, and one unknown (hopefully very different) design. Speculation is that we’ll get our first glimpse of the Note III at IFA in Berlin, which begins at the very end of August. However, I’m hoping we see something before then just cause I’m impatient and curious.
