5″ HTC Device On The Way
Despite the difficult times HTC has had this year, they’re making the news quite a bit these last few days. The latest news is actually quite intriguing if you’re a fan of super-sized phones. It seems as though HTC is planning to launch a 5″ phone soon.
It used to be said that 5″ was too big (remember the Dell Streaks?), but since the release of the Galaxy Note the market for giants has really opened up. LG has made their giant (the Optimus Vu) and now HTC is to be cooking one up.
While it’s not quite as big as the aforementioned Note or Vu, this device could pack quite a punch if the rumours all pan out. Here’s what is being speculated:
- 5″ Super LCD 2 with 1080p Resolution
- Dual-Core Krait Processor
- Adreno 320
- Possible stylus (maybe the same as the Flyer?)
Not bad in my eyes. Hopefully they throw in 2GB of RAM, removable battery, and Micro-SD card slot. I really liked the design of the One series so hopefully they keep along those lines too.
